Although Parliament is the supreme law making body in the UK there are many people who would like the law to reflect and suit their own purposes. In order to do this they attempt to influence Parliament in a number of different ways. Four such groups who constantly try to impose this influence include the Law Commission, pressure groups, the media and political parties. This section of the site examines each of those influences.
