AQA Unit 2C The Law of Contract

Contract is an area of civil law. A contract is an agreement that the law will recognise. The purpose of the law of contract is to decide whether there is a valid contract or not, and to provide remedies when one person has been affected by another's failure to perfrom their part of the contract. The most usual remedy is damages (financial compensation). A valid contract starts with the acceptance of an offer made to the person accepting the offer.
